This is a card I did today. The blue background and the green strips are patterned paper. The flower was stamped on the blue cardsock and cut out It was stamped with an Autumn Leaves clear flower stamp. The wording was all done on the computer. The little flower and the heart on the inside are Quickutz dies. The heart was cut out of clear acetate. My inspiration came from the Sept. 08 CardMaker magazine on page 62. I got this magazine from my church library and I've already enjoyed reading it and love that it shows the inside of the card and the envelope.

I tried my first cabinet card today with an online image. I just love this ladies face. She look so happy! I like the card but next time I will put the paper that I printed the rest of the quote on behind the beaded "be" to make it stand out more. The quote says, If you want to be happy, be." Leo Tolstoy

altered journal
This is an old record book that my DH used to use at work before computers were used. I painted it and added the vintage looking Melons at their peak from a magazine add. The flower is a magazine picture too that I have painted over and the white flourishes are foam stamps that I have used Tim Holtz crackle medium to stamp with. The key is grungeboard.
I plan to use this old book as my daily journal.

Play - Scrapbook
This is a small scrapbook made out of a manilla folder. I made it for a challenge for our art group. The monthly challenge is to make something that was inspired by an object they post. The object this month was a sculpture of a black and white dog that had playing cards on it. The theme of the scrapbook is "Play". I used lots of games images and numbers to carry out the theme.
