buds/blooms - TMTA

This is my ATC for this week's theme of buds/blooms. The background is a napkin and I did some watercolor blooms over the colorful background. I loved the quote because it always seems the earth is dead after a long cold winter but the flowers always come back to remind us it's not.

Spring has sprung

Spring has sprung around here and I hope the ice and snow doesn't come back until Winter. We have a beautiful flowerbed of daffodils that I though you might want to see.

I also took a picture of my erosion bundle. It is really looking weathered and I cannot wait to see what nature has done to it. You can learn more about erosion bundles here at this site:

And the last picture is goodies that I won from EK Sucess. I am on their consumer board and answer their surveys. Every once in a while they pull a few winner from those that answer the surveys. I was a lucky winner. I got some great punches and some stickers. Thank you EK Success, you made my day!

School - TMTA & Mixed Media Monday

This is my ATC for Think Monday - Think ATC and for Mixed Media Monday. The theme this week at TMTA was "in a row" and the theme this week at Mixed Media Monday is Vintage children.

Spring banner

I made a Spring Banner at my friend, Claudia's house yesterday. I made it on her Cricut Expressions with the Storybook cartridge. Claudia donated the flowers and the lace egg and basket. She did the egg and basket on her embrodery machine. I think it turned out very pretty!

Movies - TMTA

This is my ATC for this week and the theme was movies. My favorite movie is Fried Green Tomatoes and this is my favorite quote from the movie.

Saturday - a perfectly wonderful day

I went to altered book club and had lunch with the girls. Then I went to Michael's free jewelery make and take and made a necklace and braclet. Then DH and I saw Alice in Wonderland in 3D. It was a perfectly wonderful day.

Spring - TMTA - Metal challenge

This is my ATC for the metal challenge for Think Monday - Think ATC. The metal is regular kitchen foil wrapped around the first piece of cardstock and colored with alchol inks and embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. The image is from Tim Holtz's CD Distressable Aphas and Numbers.

This is a post card that I did for a swap in our online art group, AAWA. The theme was birds. Now doesn't that make you feel like Spring?

This is my ATC for this week's challenge at TMTA which is orange. She is a magazine picture which has been dry brushed over with gesso, drawn on with black pen and then water colored and gelled over. She has stickles on her necklace.
