There is at least one baby bird in the barn swallow's nest. The adults fuss at me and dive at me every time I go down to the barn but I am so happy to see them again this year. The eat insects so they are always a welcome site here.June 4 update:
I saw a little bird sitting in the barn today and it flew just as I started to walk into the barn. I think it was one of the baby barn swallows.

oh...I love swallows. I used to see them all the time when I lived in Italy, but not here....
you are so lucky to have a nest in the barn :-)
