Baby you can drive my card

This is my ATC for Think Monday, Think ATC. The theme this week is cars.
The girl is a magazine picture that is a paint-over. I dry brushed lightly over the picture with gesso and drew over it with a black pen and then water colored her. Then I masked over her and stamped in the background.
I added her snazzy little pink Mercedes and then I added the title to a Beatle's song that has been in my head since I hear the theme was cars and highlighted it with a white pen.
Beep! Beep!

Live, Love, Laugh, Learn 4x4s

This is my design for the 4x4s that we will swap at my altered book club. I did a Distress ink resist technique that I found on Jennifer McGuire's blog . I have a link to her blog on my blog on the right. She has three great videos to inspire you.
I colored the silk flower with the inks too.
I used Vintage photo, Broken China, and Fired Brick distress inks.

Fan

Those of us who cannot go to my online art group's retreat will have a pity party. We will either make a pinwheel or a fan for the party to exchange. I have been working on a pattern that is from my Grandmother's funeral fan. A funeral fan was given out at funeral's for advertisement purposes many years ago. My Grandmother has been gone for almost 50 years. Her fan folds in on itself. On the back it says, The Coffee Pot. Dinners Served cafeteria style. Air conditioned Dining room". I've loved her fan and kept it all these years and now I have my fan done for the pity party thanks to Grandmother's fan and my friend, Claudia for letting me borrow her beautiful stamp that says, "Sing You Heart Songs".

Angel - Alcohol Ink foil Transparency- Think Monday - Think ATC

This is my angel ATC for the Think Monday - Think ATC challenge. We had a technique Challenge and a video to show us how to do this alcohol ink foil technique. I loved the video and I think I understood it even though it was in German. The technique is to color the back of the transparency with alchol inks. I used gold, stonewash blue and a green on mine. Then I stamped an image on the front of the transparency with staz-on ink.
Behind the transparency is crumpled foil.
On the video, she used an old book page to layer her ATC but I have used a vellum with pansies on it between the transparency and the foil to layer my ATC. I colored her wings with a white pen.
I colored the flower and leaves with alcohol inks.
This was not on the video but was another technique that I learned at a class I took at our local stamp store. I let a drop of each color dry in a plastic pallet and after it was dry I used an artist brush that was damped with blending solution to paint with.

altered Rolodex swap

My art group, AAWA (An Affair with Art) is doing an altered Rolodex swap. This is my first time doing one and I have to make around 30 cards for the swap.
They will have our personal info so that we can grab our cards for
mailouts and things we love so that we can make things we know that
someone else likes. (I am not sharing all my personal info here and it has a white piece of paper over that.)
I inked the cards with distress inks and added the stamps and a flower from a patterned piece of paper that reminds me of Georgia O'Keefe's flowers.
It's really my style - distressed, inky, vintage, artsy with a flower that has stickles on it, & my favorite colors!

Eyes - Think Monday - Think ATC

Eyes are the theme at Think Monday - Think ATC. This is my ATC for the challenge. I found a picture of some clouds and the slide mount and though of a window. This was such a fun challenge!

Easter Cards

This is my Easter card for this year. I am using bunny die cuts from our die cut swap with my art group.
