snow 2-12-2010

This is what I woke up to this morning in Upstate South Carolina. It is such a pretty snow.

The picture of the trees shows my erosion bundle. I posted about the erosion bundle in an earlier post. An erosion bundle is a bundle of art supplies left outdoors in the elements all winter and then you bring it inside and make an art project out of the weathered supplies. We have between 4 and 5" of snow. The temperature is supposed to get to 42 degrees today so I'd better enjoy it quickly.

Amaryllis

Here is how my amaryllis looks today. There is a nice healthy looking bunch of leaves going up beside the bigger stalk.

Valentine card for my 2 year old Grandson

I think he'll like all the things to touch on this card. The black strip is embossed too although it didn't show up on the scan.

project of the day

I wanted to do some jewelery today so I made some dragonfly earrings for myself like I did for my friend's Charlotte and Claudia for their birthdays. I decided to do my earring as leverbacks instead of french wires and the heart charm is another charm I made for my valentine charm bracelet.

Amaryllis

This is my amaryllis today. It looks a bit sad after looking so glorious with 4 blooms. These 3 remaining blooms are fading away. But the good news is that is more blooms in the center that are forming and there is another stalk going up!

charms and glass slide

I got my charms and a glass slide back from a Valentine charm swap that I was in with my art group, AAWA. I love them all! Thanks to Shelly Rae for the heart charm with the beautiful packaging, Yooper for the pink bottle with heart, Jeri for the red charm with flowers inside, Diann for the pink flowered heart, Carol for the red heart charm, Candy for the lovely glass slide, and Jean for the oriental woman that has "joy" on the back. The last red heart charm was mine.

AAWA Challenge - create an altered Valentine tin

One of the girls on my online art group has challenged us to create an altered Valentine tin. I hope to create some more but here is one that I did today.
