I usually do Conny's Mix It Monthly's challenges and saw several people doing her challenge this month which is angels linking their art with The Mirrow Cracked blog's Wings Challenge. I thought I would enter a little bird that I did today into their challenge. Here is the link for The Mirrow Cracked Wings Challenge.
Spring has Sprung here and it has been a beautiful day today so I celebrated by doing a collage in my art journal.
I hope you enjoy seeing it.

Great collage and nicely expressive faces on your birds.
Love both birds with their amusing expressions and your musical page.
We had a lovely Spring day here too.
Lovely page Nancy, love the old postcard and the two birds looks so different and the contrast makes such a great vibe on the page! ♥ Conny
Piaroms Art Journaling
This is fab Nancy, I love your birds and that you use your own handwriting. I'm so glad that Spring is on its way here too. Have a great weekend. Sue xx
Nice bird drawing. Glad Spring is finding you. We are NOT there yet. Not for a few weeks it,seems. Enjoy the weather. xox
I love it! It's really interesting how you did all your layering in level. Blessings!
A Nice art journal page! I love this red bird and the Life around him ! Have a Nice Springtime !
Very pretty page...thinking of starting an art journal...one of these days! It was so nice of you to stop by my blog and leave me your sweet words! thank you!
Love your birds! Is that a Kingfisher? I've only ever seen one in the wild.
Libby asked if my bird was a kingfisher and I don't know. I saw him in a magazine and loved his looks and had to paint him.
Such a nice page to honor spring!
I'm still waiting for the season to manifest fully ... waiting for snow to melt ... and getting out into the gardens!
Nothing says Spring to me like the sound of the returning birds singing happily in the trees. Your piece is fabulous. Love your kingfisher, and your sentiment. A lovely uplifting piece.
Thanks for sharing with us

The Mirror Crack'd
I think the commenter is correct. The bird looks like a kingfisher. They typically have those long beaks, and 'tubby' build. The colours are usually quite flamboyant. You obviously had fun with this one
